Full translation of the Qasida al Hujrat an Nabiwiyya

​

يَا سيِّدي يا رســولَ الله خُذْ بيدِي
O my Master, O Messenger of Allah, take my hand.

ما لي سِواكَ ولا أَلْـــوي على أحدِ
I have no one besides you, nor do I turn to anyone else.

فــأنتَ نورُ الهدى فــي كلِّ كَائِنَــةٍ
For you are the light of guidance in all creation.

وأنتَ سرُّ الندى يا خيـــرَ معتمــدِ
And you are the secret of generosity, O best of those relied upon.

و أنتَ حقًــا غياثُ الخلقِ أَجْمَعِهِمْ
And you are truly the savior of all creation.

وأنتَ هادي الورى للهِ ذي السّـــدَدِ
And you are the guide of mankind to Allah, the Most Firm.

يا مــن يقومُ مقــامَ الحمــدِ منفردًا
O you who stand alone in the Praised Station.

للواحـــــدِ الفردِ لـم يولــد ولـم يلــدِ
For the One, the Singular, who neither begets nor is begotten.

يــــا مــن تفجّـــرت الأنهـــارُ نابعةً
O you from whose fingers rivers gushed forth.

من إصبعيهِ فروّى الجيــشَ بالمــددِ
And thus, he quenched the army with abundant water.

إني إذا ســــامني ضيمٌ يُروِّعُنـي
Whenever an affliction frightens me.

أقولُ يا سـيدَ السـاداتِ يا سـنــدي
I say: O Master of masters, O my support!

كُن لي شفيعًا إلى الرحمنِ من زللٍ
Be my intercessor with the Most Merciful for my slips.

و امنُنْ علـيَّ بما لا كان في خَلَــدي
And bestow upon me that which I never imagined.

و انظرْ بعينِ الرضا لي دائمًـا أبدًا
And look upon me with the eye of mercy always and forever.

و استُرْ بفضلكَ تقصيري إلى الأمدِ
And conceal my shortcomings with Your grace until eternity.

و اعطفْ عليَّ بعفوٍ منكَ يشملنـي
And favor me with a pardon from You that encompasses me.

فإنني عنــــكَ يــا مـــــولايَ لـم أحِـدِ
For indeed, O my Master, I have never turned away from you.

إني توسَّـلتُ بالمختـارِ أفضلِ مـن
I seek intercession through the Chosen One, the best of those.

رقَى الســــمواتِ ســرِّ الواحدِ الأحدِ
Who ascended the heavens, the secret of the One, the Absolute.

ربُّ الجمــالِ تعالـــى اللهُ خالقـــهُ
The Lord of beauty—exalted is Allah, his Creator.

فمثلــهُ فــي جمــيعِ الخـلقِ لــم أجِـدِ
For I have not found anyone like him among all creation.

خيرُ الخلائقِ أعلى المرسلينَ ذُرًى
The best of creation, the highest among the messengers.

ذخـرُ الأنـامِ و هـاديــهمْ إلى الرشــدِ
The treasure of humanity and their guide to righteousness.

بهِ التجـــأتُ لعلَّ اللهَ يغفــــرَ لــي
Through him, I seek refuge, hoping that Allah forgives me.

هــذا الذي هوَ فـــي ظنّـي ومعتقدي
This is my belief and my firm conviction.

فمدحُهُ لم يزلْ دأبي مَدَى عُمُـري
His praise has always been my practice throughout my life.

وَ حُبُّهُ عنــدَ ربِّ العرشِ مســــــتَنَدي
And my love for him is my reliance before the Lord of the Throne.

عليهِ أزكــى صـلاةٍ لم تـــزلْ أبدًا
Upon him be the purest blessings, forever unceasing.

معَ الســــلامِ بلا حصرٍ و لا عـــــــدَدِ
Along with peace, without limit or count.

والآلِ والصحبِ أهلِ المجدِ قاطبةً
And upon his family and companions, the people of honor entirely.

و تـابعيـهمْ بإحســــــانٍ إلى الأبــــدِ
And those who follow them in excellence until eternity.
